Terrorism & 9/11
A new problem arises during this modern age: Terrorism. Terrorism is the use of violence and intimidation to achieve political goals. One of the most commonly known terrorist attacks is the attacks on September 11th, 2001. Today, ISIS terrorists have been training children to become suicide bombers. Because of these terrorist attacks, the security is now heightened in airports, along with at important places, like the Pentagon and the White House in Washington D.C. To learn more about terrorism and 9/11, watch the two GoAnimates found below. Also, you can read my summary on child suicide bombers found below as well.
Businesses today
Today, businesses cut corners at the consumers expense to make a larger profit. The most common way this is done is through outsourcing. Outsourcing is the act of a business moving across to another country to have the product produced at a lower cost. This is bad for us, because the quality of the product goes down and the price is generally increased. Also, we lose our jobs due to companies outsourcing. The photo below will help you understand the concept of outsourcing a product.
By looking below, Tyler explains the ways businesses cut corners and make huge profits through Globalization and Offshore Banking thanks to his Prezi presentation.
