In Era 6, the American Industrial Revolution brought mass production to the United States. The country became more urbanized, the population skyrocketed, unions formed, and women fought for their right to vote. (6.2) Becoming a world power & the first world war
Also during Era 6, the First World War began with the assassination of Austria-Hungary's Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914. The United States did not join the war until 1917, within two years of America joining, the war ended.
